: Supplied as pelleted seed.
No vernalization required for first-year-flowering. Produces high yields of saleable stems for florists. Very uniform for height and flowering time. Taller growth comes from early, Autumntransplanted, greenhouse-grown plants. Good frost and heat tolerance. Can be marketed in 6-in./15-cm to gallon containers. Scarlet is 3 to 5 days later to flower than others in the series.
