Grower Information
: Supplied as raw seed. Similar to Japanese extra earlyflowering types, Katz delivers a shorter crop time, uniformity in flowering for stem length and timing between colours, and better heat tolerance than European or traditional field types. The series can be grown earlier and later in the season, and even year-round in some climates, allowing for Christmas through Valentine’s Day flowering when traditional Stocks are hard to produce. About 55 to 60% double-flowering, with some selectability possible. Tunnel production is recommended for overall improved quality and for weather protection so that programming is not affected by rain. Nice fragrance and good vase life. NOTE: 5% of PanAmerican Seed net seed sales of this product will be donated to PanCan for Pancreatic Cancer research in honour of Philip Katz, former PanAmerican Seed Product Manager.
