In partnership with Cambridge HOK, a specialist horticultural design and engineering group, Ball Colegrave Ltd., the UK’s leading wholesale distributor of seed and young plants, is pleased to announce a planning application is being submitted. The long-term vision is to increase the production capacity and relocate the company’s existing West Adderbury operations — including the trial grounds— to the company-owned Bordon Hill site in Stratford-upon-Avon.
Bordon Hill currently serves as Ball UK’s distribution centre, as well as the primary production site for seed-raised plugs. Meanwhile, West Adderbury houses the trials facility and the majority of UK-based office employees.

A comprehensive assessment of the Bordon Hill production facility has been completed. The proposed development will significantly increase the production capacity and improve production flow, operational efficiency, and strengthen distribution capabilities — ultimately enhancing product quality and ensuring prompt delivery to support customer success. The project is expected to take around three years to complete.
Bringing together teams from West Adderbury and Stratford-upon-Avon will enable greater collaboration and cross-functional synergy whilst offering long-term security for the workforce.
